Fireflies

It’s 1992. Dangerous entities are entering our world from another to prey on us.  The only people that can see them are those that live outside the rigors of social convention. Kids.

A youth organization encountered these entities. That encounter unlocked latent powers in the kids. Armed with latent abilities and growing skills they decided to do something.

They became the Fireflies.

Fireflies is inspired by books such as the Hardy Boys, The Dresden Files, and Hatchet and movies such as Stand By Me, The Goonies, and The Monster Squad. TV shows like X-Files, Fringe, and Supernatural heavily influenced the vibe. 

The system is inspired by Cairn, DCC, Liminal Horror, The Lost Bay, and especially Mörk Borg. It is a Borg-like game at heart but owes something to all of the the above.
